Brandon Kirsch, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and the Medical Director at Brickell Biotech, Inc. He started his career as a lawyer and holds law degrees from the University of Western Ontario (LL.B.) and Georgetown (LL.M. Securities and Financial Regulation). During law school Brandon clerked for Richard McLaren, Officer of the Order of Canada and arbitrator for the International Court of Arbitration for Sport. He articled with the Canadian law firm Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Following completion of his articles, Brandon joined the Asian and European Capital Markets Group at Shearman & Sterling LLP in London.
After deciding to become a doctor, Brandon enrolled in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania, later completing medical school at Brown University, an internship at the Mayo Clinic in Florida and dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina. Brandon has interests in therapeutic drug development and medical innovation. In partnership with the Mayo Clinic, he filed to patent a novel topical composition for the treatment of melasma. Brandon also received a grant from the Mayo Clinic to complete a FDA-approved study of this formulation.
