Matthew Hand, M.D.
Matthew Hand, M.D. is a private practice dermatologic and facial plastic surgeon and a clinical instructor with the University of Washington. He obtained his BSc Life Sci, BPHE Kinesiology from Queens University, Ontario, his M.D. at the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Utah. He also completed a Mohs and facial plastic surgery fellowship with Dr. Cameron Chesnut in Spokane, Washington.
As a 2017 AID Scholar he identified scarring in post-surgical wounds as a clinical problem worth solving. The support and encouragement from the Scholars program led to involvement in ongoing research investigating growth factor and other biologic mediators for scar mitigation and tissue rejuvenation.
