Neera Nathan, M.D., MSHS
Neera Nathan, M.D., MSHS is a second-year dermatology resident at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program. Her clinical interests include procedural dermatology. Her current research interest is in device-assisted delivery of topical medications. She received her MD from George Washington University School of Medicine.
As an AID scholar, she identified dermal hyperpigmentation as a clinically relevant and troublesome problem encountered frequently in the dermatology clinic. Particularly, both clinicians and patients alike have difficulty identifying this subtype of hyperpigmentation, which is notoriously hard to treat. Dr. Nathan is working on a cheap, reliable and simple solution to aid both clinicians and patients in helping to characterize hyperpigmentation so that they may make more informed decisions about their treatment options.
