Shirin Bajaj, MD
Shirin Bajaj, MD is a rising third year dermatology resident at New York University with a strong and longstanding interest in cutaneous oncology. She completed her undergraduate and medical school studies at Northwestern University as part of the prestigious Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME). She built upon her interests during a yearlong research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center during medical school, aimed at leveraging novel technologies to improve our ability to detect skin cancers at their earliest stages. She completed intern year also at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she continued her study of oncologic disease as well as conventional and novel therapies and their toxicities. During residency, she is an avid participant and contributor to her institution’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group, through which she has participated in various endeavors to improve accessibility to skin cancer screening, and outcomes for patients with cutaneous malignancies. She has a passion for research and innovation, and through these avenues she hopes to improve patient outcomes and the patient experience.
